Product information

The Seaver Safefit Airbag Vest combines safety, style and innovation to ensure you stay protected in the event of a fall. You can ride safely and comfortably without restricting any freedom of movement.To prevent serious injuries, the Safefit airbag is activated very quickly before impact.  This protecting the alignment of the trunk: back, lumbar area, neck, cervical spine, rib cage, pelvis and sacrum.

The Safefit vest is extremely lightweight weighing less than 600 grams, and is made from a stretchy micro-perforated material which allows you to move freely in the saddle without restriciton or friction.

Features of Safefit Airbag Vest

  • Complete protection of your vital zones and organs. New certification NF (S72-800:2021) and CE marking.
  • The SAFEFIT airbag vest protects the vital areas of your body: back, lumbar zone, rib cage, neck and cervicals.
  • Unique lightness (under 600 grams).
  • Ultra fit vest, freedom of movement.
  • You can wear the Airbag vest over or under compatible clothes depending on the rider’s preferences.
  • When you trigger the airbag inflates in between 0.9 and 0.17 seconds.
  • A gas cartridge adapted to the size of your airbag vest is supplied with the Safefit.
  • You can use the Safefit for cross country, in addition to a certified rigid vest. It cannot be used alone.
  • Safefitis guaranteed for 2 years.

Storage & Maintenance of the Seaver Safefit Airbag Vest:

  • When not being worn, SAFEFIT should be hung up and all accessories should be kept with the vest.
  • Do not store it in an environment with high temperatures or high humidity.
  • Do not bring SAFEFIT near flames or temperatures around 45°C.
  • Check regularly that the airbag is in good condition and carry out a general check once a year to ensure
    that it is working properly.

You must have your airbag serviced in the following cases:

  • The system has not been triggered after you have fallen
  • The air chamber is damaged and/or leaking
  • The fabric protection of the airbag is torn or cut
  • You have left your airbag in an environment that is too hot or too humid for at least 7 days

Safety Regulations:

The Seaver Safefit Airbag Vest complies with regulations relating to personal protective equipment (PPE) subject to the Sports Code. It has the NF standard (S72-800:2021) and the CE mark issued by the certified laboratory Alienor Certification in accordance with the European directive 89/686/EEC of 21/12/1986. Protects against mechanical shocks, hyper flexion and hyperextension of the trunk and spine. Allows the best possible compromise between protection, comfort and ergonomic requirements.

How to replace the Safefit gas cartridge:

  1. Prepare the tools to arm the system: gas cartridge, key.
  2. Remove the rubber cap at the bottom of the trigger
  3. Using the wrench, unscrew the screw that was hidden by the cap
  4. Insert the ball of the connection strap in the middle of the trigger, in the hole provided for this purpose. Pull on the connection strap to make sure the system is correctly installed
  5. You then tighten the screw and replace the cap
  6. Screw a new cartridge in its place.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major Credit & Debit cards except American Express.
 You can alsp pay for your order using PayPal and Paypal Credit.

How much does delivery cost?

Orders over £75 qualify for Free Delivery within Mainland UK. Standard Delivery is £3.95.  For orders out with Mainland UK please refer to our Delivery Policy for more information.

How can I track my parcel for delivery?

You can track your parcel by logging into your Ayr Equestrian account and viewing your order history.  You will also recieve an email notification once your order has been dispatched that will contain all the tracking information for your order.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Most of our orders placed before 1pm are dispatch for next day deilvery with DPD.  However please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be delivered.  For orders required urgently please contact the shop directly on 01292 266267 and we will endeveour to help you as best we can.

How do I contact customer service?

Please email info@ayrequestrian.com with any queries you have.  We endeavour to answer emails within three
working days.  Alternatively you can call the Shop directly on 01292 66267 between 9.30am - 5.30pm daily.

When will my order be dispatched?

We aim to dispatch the vast majority of our orders placed before 1pm the same day. However please allow up to 2 working days for your order to be dispatched. 

What shipping provider do you use?

The vast majority of our orders are shipped with DPD.  In some instances parcels may also be shipped via Royal Mail or My Hermes.  All parcels are shipped with tracking details.

What is your returns policy?

Should you find on arrival of your product that it is the wrong size or that you simply no longer wish the item we are happy to refund or exchange your item/ items. All items must be returned within 14 days of being received.  Please refer to our Returns Policy page for full terms & conditions.  

Does this product come with any warranty?

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee,
valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Can I use a gift card online?

Yes you can use your Gift Card for online purchases, simply enter your Gift Card code in the Apply Gift Card Box when checking out for it to be applied to your purchase.

Same day despatch

If you place an order before 1pm on a weekday and the item is in stock we will despatch your order that same day. Other orders are despatched on the next working day or asap but we will keep you informed. Orders will be despatched Mon-Fri, excluding bank holidays.

Free delivery

We provide a FREE UK delivery service within certain areas if you spend £75 or more. Please see the excluded areas below:

We may require a signature

To ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible, please make sure you give us a delivery address where someone will be available to accept it because many of our parcels require a signature upon delivery or simply will not fit through your letterbox. We will gladly deliver to a family member, neighbour or place of work if it is more convenient for you. In this case, please ensure you use the alternative address when placing your order.

If no-one is available to accept your order, a notice will be posted through your letterbox to explain how you can arrange redelivery or collection.

VAT exemption

Orders delivered to countries outside of the EU (including the Channel Islands) will have VAT deducted during checkout, after the delivery address has been entered. For Channel Islands, please ensure you choose Jersey or Guernsey and not United Kingdom in the country field.

Returns

Should you find on arrival of your product that it is the wrong size or that you simply no longer wish the item we are happy to refund or exchange your item/s. All items must be returned within 14 days of being received.

Conditions of Return

  1. The item must be in a new, re-saleable condition for us to accept the item back.
  2. The item may be returned for either exchange or refund.
  3. Where appropriate the item must not have been worn other than for size.
  4. We will not accept items back in anything other than the condition received, even if subsequently cleaned.
  5. Items must include the original packaging and swing tickets.
  6. The cost of returning the item is your responsibility.
  7. Unfortunately we are unable to accept the return of special order items.
  8. We will not accept responsibility for goods lost in transit, so please use recorded delivery.
  9. If you returning the item for an exchange please include the return postage of £4.95.
  10. Please include your name, address & contact number when returning goods - common sense but a surprising number of people forget!

Faulty Goods

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee, valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Should you receive any faulty items please phone and let us know as soon as possible. It is unlikely but on occasion goods can get damaged in transit. In this event we will happily replace the goods and refund the return postage. Should the fault lie with the manufacturer it will be returned to them quickly for assessment and will be dealt with promptly. In some cases this may take up to 4 weeks.
