<IR:NEWEDITOR> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> CRYOCHAPS have been designed not only to help in the rehabilitation after injury and return to exercise, but more importantly, be part of an everyday cool-down routine to focus on recovery &amp; injury prevention. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> CRYOCHAPS have been developed to mimic ice bath or cold water immersion which has become part of many athlete&#8217;s recovery phase. The general theory behind this cold therapy is that the cold exposure helps to combat the micro trauma (small tears) in tissues &amp; resultant soreness caused by intense or repetitive exercise. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> The cold therapy constricts blood vessels, flushes waste products &amp; reduces swelling &amp; tissue breakdown. Subsequently, as the tissue warms &amp; the increased blood flow speeds circulation, the healing process is jump-started. CRYOCHAPS provide cold therapy &amp; essential compression to be proactive against injury, or, to help the healing process after injury. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> CRYOCHAPS were designed to meet the following criteria; </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> Ease of application, wraps to fit hind or front legs for a 15hh to 17hh horse, a secure fit, compression, reusability, easy clean, lay flat in freezer &amp; quick freezing but most of all, coverage of all tendon &amp; ligament structures in the leg, whilst still maintaining the ability for the horse to move. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> They are made in two parts, the ice gel &amp; the material section. Smooth material is part of the ice gel boot, it will not freeze to the leg &amp; is simple to wash off to keep clean. The gel is quick to cool &amp; maintains low temperatures. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> Stretch Neoprene makes up the material boot which provides not only a secure fit but compression, essential in recovery. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> How to use - </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> CRYOCHAPS can be placed flat in a standard freezer (-18&#176; Celsius) overnight, to receive the optimum cooling effect. The gel should not be rock hard when taken out of the freezer but still with a slight give when pressed. If they are completely stiff before application it will be harder to mould to the leg, allow to soften before application . Alternatively place in freezer for approx. 4 hours before immediate use. If you have no freezer at your yard or you are travelling a competition, tests have shown that if you roll the Cryochaps, black material to the outside, place in freezer overnight and then place in an insulating cooler bag with ice blocks, then Cryochaps will still achieve effective cooling after up to 2 hours in the cooler bag. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> Using Post Exercise, apply to the leg for 10-15 mins. Temperatures are maintained below 10 degrees for this time period. If your horses&#8217;s leg is not cool to the touch when you take Cryochaps off, they were not frozen adequately before application. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> Within the first 24-48 hours after injury, apply for up to 20mins, temperatures against the leg will be maintained below 10&#176;. Application can be repeated every 2-3 hours, ensure you take advice from your vet before using after injury. CRYOCHAPS should not be used on open wounds or if suspected infection. If your horse has sensitive legs, or clipped legs, it is advised to cover. CRYOCHAPS should not be left on the leg longer than 20 mins, there is no medical benefit to be gained by leaving them on for longer. You run the risk of damaging the skin. </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p> <p style="margin-top: 0px"> </p>

What payment methods do you accept?

How much does delivery cost?

Orders over £75 qualify for Free Delivery within Mainland UK. Standard Delivery is £3.95.  For orders out with Mainland UK please refer to our Delivery Policy for more information.

How can I track my parcel for delivery?

You can track your parcel by logging into your Ayr Equestrian account and viewing your order history.  You will also recieve an email notification once your order has been dispatched that will contain all the tracking information for your order.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Most of our orders placed before 1pm are dispatch for next day deilvery with DPD.  However please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be delivered.  For orders required urgently please contact the shop directly on 01292 266267 and we will endeveour to help you as best we can.

How do I contact customer service?

Please email info@ayrequestrian.com with any queries you have.  We endeavour to answer emails within three
working days.  Alternatively you can call the Shop directly on 01292 66267 between 9.30am - 5.30pm daily.

When will my order be dispatched?

We aim to dispatch the vast majority of our orders placed before 1pm the same day. However please allow up to 2 working days for your order to be dispatched. 

What shipping provider do you use?

The vast majority of our orders are shipped with DPD.  In some instances parcels may also be shipped via Royal Mail or My Hermes.  All parcels are shipped with tracking details.

What is your returns policy?

Should you find on arrival of your product that it is the wrong size or that you simply no longer wish the item we are happy to refund or exchange your item/ items. All items must be returned within 14 days of being received.  Please refer to our Returns Policy page for full terms & conditions.  

Does this product come with any warranty?

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee,
valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Can I use a gift card online?

Yes you can use your Gift Card for online purchases, simply enter your Gift Card code in the Apply Gift Card Box when checking out for it to be applied to your purchase.

Same day despatch

If you place an order before 1pm on a weekday and the item is in stock we will despatch your order that same day. Other orders are despatched on the next working day or asap but we will keep you informed. Orders will be despatched Mon-Fri, excluding bank holidays.

Free delivery

We provide a FREE UK delivery service within certain areas if you spend £75 or more. Please see the excluded areas below:

We may require a signature

To ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible, please make sure you give us a delivery address where someone will be available to accept it because many of our parcels require a signature upon delivery or simply will not fit through your letterbox. We will gladly deliver to a family member, neighbour or place of work if it is more convenient for you. In this case, please ensure you use the alternative address when placing your order.

If no-one is available to accept your order, a notice will be posted through your letterbox to explain how you can arrange redelivery or collection.

VAT exemption

Orders delivered to countries outside of the EU (including the Channel Islands) will have VAT deducted during checkout, after the delivery address has been entered. For Channel Islands, please ensure you choose Jersey or Guernsey and not United Kingdom in the country field.

Returns

Conditions of Return

  1. The item must be in a new, re-saleable condition for us to accept the item back.
  2. The item may be returned for either exchange or refund.
  3. Where appropriate the item must not have been worn other than for size.
  4. We will not accept items back in anything other than the condition received, even if subsequently cleaned.
  5. Items must include the original packaging and swing tickets.
  6. The cost of returning the item is your responsibility.
  7. Unfortunately we are unable to accept the return of special order items.
  8. We will not accept responsibility for goods lost in transit, so please use recorded delivery.
  9. If you returning the item for an exchange please include the return postage of £4.95.
  10. Please include your name, address & contact number when returning goods - common sense but a surprising number of people forget!

Faulty Goods

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee, valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Should you receive any faulty items please phone and let us know as soon as possible. It is unlikely but on occasion goods can get damaged in transit. In this event we will happily replace the goods and refund the return postage. Should the fault lie with the manufacturer it will be returned to them quickly for assessment and will be dealt with promptly. In some cases this may take up to 4 weeks.
