Vetrogut Soothe & Settle

Encourages the formation of normal droppings. Ideal to soothe & settle the stomach and hind gut. Provides calcium, magnesium, silicon as well as 72 trace minerals. Animalife Vetrogut Soothe & Settle (previously Acid Fix) is ideal for horses experiencing periods of stress or changes in their routine. Creates the perfect pH for your horse to maintain gut balance and reduce the risk of acidosis and stomach ulcerations. Vetrogut Soothe & Settle is a highly efficient equine buffer made from calcareous marine algae. Its honeycomb structure breaks down slowly in the horse to stabilise pH and, as a result, improves the performance and health of your horse.

How does it work?

Vetrogut Soothe & Settle is unique and natural. It contains significant amounts of calcium, magnesium and silicon as well as 72 additional trace minerals complexed together in a structure engineered by the cell wall of the seaweed Lithothamnion species. Vetrogut Soothe & Settle contains a unique trace mineral profile gained from its formation in a marine environment. The elements contained are at trace quantities and are insignificant alone, but within a multi-mineral matrix they work synergistically providing unique and robust bioactivities. Vetrogut Soothe & Settle is a marine-plant, multi-mineral complex, derived from the cytoskeleton of the red seaweed Lithothamnion sp. It is sustainably harvested from the pristine waters off the northern coast of Iceland. Over the course of the seaweed’s life, minerals are accumulated from the seawater, and stored as carbonate salts in the plants cell wall. Calcium and magnesium represent one third and over 2%, respectively of the 74 components in the total dry mass of Vetrogut Soothe & Settle. Vetrogut Soothe & Settle has an intricate and unique 3-dimensional structure moulded by the cell wall of Lithothamnion sp.  Vetrogut Soothe & Settle differs elementally and structurally from mined minerals ” Harvested from red algae (Lithothamnion) from the sea off the coast of Iceland, Lithothamnion has a honeycomb structure that provides a large surface area of (>10m2) per gram and a slow release of bio-available minerals, calcium, magnesium and silicon. Research shows this has significant buffering action for 4-6 hours under simulated in-vitro stomach digestion conditions and also stimulated in vitro hindgut fermentation activities. What payment methods do you accept?

How much does delivery cost?

Orders over £75 qualify for Free Delivery within Mainland UK. Standard Delivery is £3.95.  For orders out with Mainland UK please refer to our Delivery Policy for more information.

How can I track my parcel for delivery?

You can track your parcel by logging into your Ayr Equestrian account and viewing your order history.  You will also recieve an email notification once your order has been dispatched that will contain all the tracking information for your order.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Most of our orders placed before 1pm are dispatch for next day deilvery with DPD.  However please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be delivered.  For orders required urgently please contact the shop directly on 01292 266267 and we will endeveour to help you as best we can.

How do I contact customer service?

Please email info@ayrequestrian.com with any queries you have.  We endeavour to answer emails within three
working days.  Alternatively you can call the Shop directly on 01292 66267 between 9.30am - 5.30pm daily.

When will my order be dispatched?

We aim to dispatch the vast majority of our orders placed before 1pm the same day. However please allow up to 2 working days for your order to be dispatched. 

What shipping provider do you use?

The vast majority of our orders are shipped with DPD.  In some instances parcels may also be shipped via Royal Mail or My Hermes.  All parcels are shipped with tracking details.

What is your returns policy?

Should you find on arrival of your product that it is the wrong size or that you simply no longer wish the item we are happy to refund or exchange your item/ items. All items must be returned within 14 days of being received.  Please refer to our Returns Policy page for full terms & conditions.  

Does this product come with any warranty?

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee,
valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Can I use a gift card online?

Yes you can use your Gift Card for online purchases, simply enter your Gift Card code in the Apply Gift Card Box when checking out for it to be applied to your purchase.

Same day despatch

If you place an order before 1pm on a weekday and the item is in stock we will despatch your order that same day. Other orders are despatched on the next working day or asap but we will keep you informed. Orders will be despatched Mon-Fri, excluding bank holidays.

Free delivery

We provide a FREE UK delivery service within certain areas if you spend £75 or more. Please see the excluded areas below:

We may require a signature

To ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible, please make sure you give us a delivery address where someone will be available to accept it because many of our parcels require a signature upon delivery or simply will not fit through your letterbox. We will gladly deliver to a family member, neighbour or place of work if it is more convenient for you. In this case, please ensure you use the alternative address when placing your order.

If no-one is available to accept your order, a notice will be posted through your letterbox to explain how you can arrange redelivery or collection.

Returns

Should you find on arrival of your product that it is the wrong size or that you simply no longer wish the item we are happy to refund or exchange your item/s. All items must be returned within 14 days of being received.

Conditions of Return

  1. The item must be in a new, re-saleable condition for us to accept the item back.
  2. The item may be returned for either exchange or refund.
  3. Where appropriate the item must not have been worn other than for size.
  4. We will not accept items back in anything other than the condition received, even if subsequently cleaned.
  5. Items must include the original packaging and swing tickets.
  6. The cost of returning the item is your responsibility.
  7. Unfortunately we are unable to accept the return of special order items.
  8. We will not accept responsibility for goods lost in transit, so please use recorded delivery.
  9. If you returning the item for an exchange please include the return postage of £4.95.
  10. Please include your name, address & contact number when returning goods - common sense but a surprising number of people forget!

Faulty Goods

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee, valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Should you receive any faulty items please phone and let us know as soon as possible. It is unlikely but on occasion goods can get damaged in transit. In this event we will happily replace the goods and refund the return postage. Should the fault lie with the manufacturer it will be returned to them quickly for assessment and will be dealt with promptly. In some cases this may take up to 4 weeks.
