One of the best Children's Riding hats on the market, the YR8 Sparkly takes all of the fantastic features of its sister hat the popular yr8 helmet and makes it a bit more special by adding sparkle.

The YR8 sparkly from Charles Owen is a fantastic choice of riding hat for anyone looking for an everyday riding hat; thebrand new sparkly option comes in a variety of colour combinations. You can order the sparkle centre panel to be self-coloured, for a more subtle finish, or you can have shiny gold or shiny silver centre for the more outgoing rider. The outer microfibre suede finish is available in black, navy or brown. If you want to order a more unique hat then the brown with gold sparkle certainly offers something different to set yourself aside with the added benefit of high visibility when out hacking. When it comes to the most popular combination, the black microfibre suede side panels coupled with black bling centre panel definitely the winner, followed by the navy microsuede side panels with navy sparkle centre.

Although the YR8 range is primarily designed for the young rider, the yr8 sparkly from Charles Owen is also the perfect hat for many adults who want just to do some general riding. The YR8 sparkly features two individual safety standards, VG1 (the new legal requirement for a riding hat) and PAS 015:2011, meaning that this hat is exceptionally high safety specification for the price. The YR8 Sparkly uses four discreet ventilation holes for delivery of improved airflow over the riders head to keep you comfortable when in the saddle. The padded lining in the hat is also infused with antibacterial silver ions to ensure delivery of added comfort during prolonged periods of wearing of the hat.

As with any riding hat in Charles Owen's young rider range, the hat features a fully adjustable nylon harness, enabled through adjustable toggles and secured using a traditional clasp which ensures the delivery of maximum comfort and ease when using this hat.

In terms of fit, the Charles Owen YR8 Sparkly follows one of Charles Owen's most tried and tested head templates, offering two fits in the most popular outer shell size, 56cm-59cm, it can accommodate both those with oval and round heads. The hat features a low profile design, sure to return a sleek aesthetic, while still looking elegant and traditional, makes this item a fantastic piece of everyday riding kit.

In terms of quality and durability, the YR8 Sparkly is crafted to Charles Owen's renowned level of craftsmanship, the special sparkle fibre material used for the centre panel is exceptionally durable and scratch-resistant, alongside the microsuede side panels. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major Credit & Debit cards except American Express.
 You can alsp pay for your order using PayPal and Paypal Credit.

How much does delivery cost?

Orders over £75 qualify for Free Delivery within Mainland UK. Standard Delivery is £3.95.  For orders out with Mainland UK please refer to our Delivery Policy for more information.

How can I track my parcel for delivery?

You can track your parcel by logging into your Ayr Equestrian account and viewing your order history.  You will also recieve an email notification once your order has been dispatched that will contain all the tracking information for your order.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Most of our orders placed before 1pm are dispatch for next day deilvery with DPD.  However please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be delivered.  For orders required urgently please contact the shop directly on 01292 266267 and we will endeveour to help you as best we can.

How do I contact customer service?

Please email info@ayrequestrian.com with any queries you have.  We endeavour to answer emails within three
working days.  Alternatively you can call the Shop directly on 01292 66267 between 9.30am - 5.30pm daily.

When will my order be dispatched?

We aim to dispatch the vast majority of our orders placed before 1pm the same day. However please allow up to 2 working days for your order to be dispatched. 

What shipping provider do you use?

The vast majority of our orders are shipped with DPD.  In some instances parcels may also be shipped via Royal Mail or My Hermes.  All parcels are shipped with tracking details.

What is your returns policy?

Should you find on arrival of your product that it is the wrong size or that you simply no longer wish the item we are happy to refund or exchange your item/ items. All items must be returned within 14 days of being received.  Please refer to our Returns Policy page for full terms & conditions.  

Does this product come with any warranty?

Certain products are guaranteed for 12 months with a manufacturer's guarantee,
valid from the date of receipt and providing they are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations (fair wear and tear). If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Can I use a gift card online?

Yes you can use your Gift Card for online purchases, simply enter your Gift Card code in the Apply Gift Card Box when checking out for it to be applied to your purchase.

Same day despatch

If you place an order before 1pm on a weekday and the item is in stock we will despatch your order that same day. Other orders are despatched on the next working day or asap but we will keep you informed. Orders will be despatched Mon-Fri, excluding bank holidays.

Free delivery

We provide a FREE UK delivery service within certain areas if you spend £75 or more. Please see the excluded areas below:

We may require a signature

To ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible, please make sure you give us a delivery address where someone will be available to accept it because many of our parcels require a signature upon delivery or simply will not fit through your letterbox. We will gladly deliver to a family member, neighbour or place of work if it is more convenient for you. In this case, please ensure you use the alternative address when placing your order.

If no-one is available to accept your order, a notice will be posted through your letterbox to explain how you can arrange redelivery or collection.

VAT exemption

Orders delivered to countries outside of the EU (including the Channel Islands) will have VAT deducted during checkout, after the delivery address has been entered. For Channel Islands, please ensure you choose Jersey or Guernsey and not United Kingdom in the country field.

Returns

Conditions of Return

  1. The item must be in a new, re-saleable condition for us to accept the item back.
  2. The item may be returned for either exchange or refund.
  3. Where appropriate the item must not have been worn other than for size.
  4. We will not accept items back in anything other than the condition received, even if subsequently cleaned.
  5. Items must include the original packaging and swing tickets.
  6. The cost of returning the item is your responsibility.
  7. Unfortunately we are unable to accept the return of special order items.
  8. We will not accept responsibility for goods lost in transit, so please use recorded delivery.
  9. If you returning the item for an exchange please include the return postage of £4.95.
  10. Please include your name, address & contact number when returning goods - common sense but a surprising number of people forget!

Faulty Goods

If you have any questions regarding the guarantee, please ask when making your order.

Should you receive any faulty items please phone and let us know as soon as possible. It is unlikely but on occasion goods can get damaged in transit. In this event we will happily replace the goods and refund the return postage. Should the fault lie with the manufacturer it will be returned to them quickly for assessment and will be dealt with promptly. In some cases this may take up to 4 weeks.
